ICAO grants international training license to 7 Saudi trainers

RIYAD – The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has granted an international training license to four Saudi trainers from the General Civil Aviation Authority (GACA), bringing to 7 the number of internationally accredited Saudi trainers in the field of aviation safety.

The licenses reflect the ability of Saudi executives who are qualified and capable in their specialties to exchange experiences and underline the role of the GACA as an effective partner of the civil aviation industry at the international level.

The GACA indicated that it had prepared many programs aimed at refining and training national executives according to the highest international standards, noting that the international achievement clearly reflects the expertise of the Kingdom which has permanently contributed to the development of the aviation field. civil.

This will strengthen the Kingdom’s leadership role in aviation security at the international level and support training and capacity building programs organized by ICAO.

It should be noted that the Kingdom continues to provide technical and material support to ICAO programs and plans, as well as the participation of Saudi experts in specialized working groups and committees.

The Kingdom is also home to the permanent headquarters of the ICAO Regional Safety Oversight Organization for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA RSOO). This in addition to hosting and funding the permanent headquarters of the ICAO Aviation Security Cooperative Program – Middle East (CASP-MID). – SG
